Summer Giveaway: ez shade Umbrella Curtain

[ 5 ] July 1, 2011 |

The ez shade umbrella curtain keeps you cool all day long. Comment to win!

I love going to the beach, but I hate getting sunburned. I also hate the endless chasing of shade. It never fails, just when the kids are settled and everyone is comfortable the shade shifts and up we hop, adjusting the umbrella yet again.

Well no more! The nice folks at Solar Eclipz have created the ez shade. This adjustable sun umbrella curtain has a UPF of 50+, is approved by the Melanoma International Foundation, helps block the wind (sleeping baby anyone?), is easy enough for this mom to use and comes in a great little tote bag that slips into a beach bag or can be carried around your wrist. Here’s a handy video in case you don’t believe me.

It’s also a pretty shade of blue.

So how does this thing work? Well, you get down to the beach, unfurl your umbrella and get it set up. Then you attach the ez shade with these incredibly strong velcro hooks that are included. Get the kids to help you fill a bottom pocket with sand and voila! You’re done. No chasing shade all day, no blast of wind to knock sand into little eyes (or adult beverages).

The panel is pretty big (56.5 x 80 for you technical folks) and kept my family cool all day long. It was simple and easy to use.

The ez shade would also be great for a swimming pool patio. You could probably leave it up for the rest of the summer without any problems. It is that sturdy.

Want one? Tell us about your summer plans in the comment section below. We’ll randomly pick a winner next week.

We will be enjoying the lazy hazy days of summer playing outside as much as possible (and hopefully staying sun-safe with this nifty umbrella)!

Love this ingenious idea. Have a daughter who burns every time we go out and can so see where this would eliminate that issue.
Good luck to all who leave comments!!!

What a great idea! We go to the beach a lot and this would really help to prevent the unwanted sun my children are exposed to during peak hours. This would also be perfect to use on our umbrella out back to help combat the bright sun.
